Response to the COVID 19 pandemic

A letter from the owner

Dear members

On the 20th March 2020 we we asked by the UK Government to close our doors to the public.

This was in response to a very real threat to public safety from the recent virus outbreak.

We have complied with the request and shut our doors which now puts us in a very difficult situation with our memberships.  Many members immediately contacted the gym saying that they would continue to support the gym and pay their membership fees despite us being closed.

This was incredibly emotional for me to see as it shows the great community that exists in the gym and seeing people come together to support the business was very humbling.

I do appreciate that many people are not in the position to be able to offer this and would instead prefer to freeze their memberships.

I completely understand this and if you wish to do this I would ask you to contact me via email

info@mofgym.co.uk

and I will arrange to freeze your membership  until this crisis is past.

Rental of Gym Kit

Many members have expressed an interest in renting some of our gym kit to help them exercise at home.  I am open to this and I will be putting in place the proper legal framework to allow members to rent our kit for a period of 10 weeks for a fixed price.  This is the estimated time that the government says it needs to enforce the closures.

This will only be available for members with a current membership.

I want to thank you for your business and support to the gym over the years and this should be just a small kink in the road for your training.  We are looking forward to being back up and running soon.

In the meantime we have a member  app that is available to all members which has home workouts loaded in and we are running live workout sessions that you can attend via a live Zoom video link.  All this is included in your membership.

If you haven’t got the app then please email me on the email address above and I can get you set up.

Stay safe and well in the next few weeks and I wish you the very best during this troublesome time
